Honeymoons Made Simple!
If you've started planning your special day you know that the details can be overwhelming. We have a solution - leave it to us! Awanna Travel offers a bridal registry allowing friends and family to help offset the cost of your special trip.
How does the registry work?
Our registry works like other gift registries! You plan and book your honeymoon and place your deposit. Friends and family can purchase gift certificates to be used toward the cost of the trip. Can they purchase a specific honeymoon item for us?
We have found that allowing gift-givers to specify an amount, rather than a specific item makes for a much smoother and easier process. It streamlines the thank you process, too! How will I know when someone has purchased a gift-certificate?
Your gift-giver has the option of sending an e-card with the gift, or printing a card to enclose in their own card at the event (engagement party, shower or wedding). Plus, we'll provide you a complete list after your registry is closed.
How will people know about my registry?
We suggest that you encourage your parents and the wedding attendants (maids-of-honor, best men, etc.) to advise your guests of your registry selection. They can enclose business-sized cards in shower invitations alerting guests of your registry Are the gift-certificate funds safe?
'YES! As a certified and bonded travel agency, your funds are safe. Please call our office for specific details. We're happy to provide proof. What if there isn't enough contributions for the entire honeymoon?
Ultimately, the responsibility for the final payment rests with the bride and groom. Proper advance planning should insure that your
honeymoon is adequately funded, however! What if there is a surplus of funds?'
Congratulations! You may either request a check for the funds, leave them in a travel fund for an anniversary trip, or request that we place them as spending credit during your trip with your resort or cruise line. Discuss this with your travel counselor and advise us of your preferences.
